Tariq Amassyali: Smarter and Cleaner Security by Tower Patrol

For decades, security companies have relied on the same diesel-powered systems, draining budgets and damaging the environment. Now, some leaders are asking whether there is a smarter way forward. Tariq Amassyali, founder and managing partner of TowerPatrol, has spent more than twenty years scaling businesses and generating over a billion dollars in revenue. Today, he is applying that expertise to completely reimagine how security is delivered.

Delivering Smarter and Cleaner Security

Most security operations still rely on outdated methods that drive up costs. “Security has traditionally relied on diesel-powered patrols and resource-heavy infrastructure, but that approach comes with a cost to both budget and the environment,” Amassyali says. TowerPatrol is tackling this challenge with fully self-powered, mobile robotic security units that eliminate the trade-off between performance and sustainability. This technology is not a futuristic concept that might work someday. “These aren’t sci-fi experiments. They’re field-tested solutions that actively reduce CO2 emissions while delivering intelligent, data-driven protection,” Amassyali explains. Organizations can deploy these systems today with full confidence that they will perform when it matters most.

Building Greener and Safer Urban Spaces

Companies everywhere are racing to meet sustainability goals, yet they often miss an obvious opportunity. “Every organization is required to hit sustainability targets, and security solutions and systems are often overlooked in that conversation,” Amassyali says. TowerPatrol addresses this gap by combining solar power with AI analytics to deliver security solutions that provide real-time deterrence and operational intelligence while reducing environmental impact. The vision extends beyond helping individual companies meet their targets. “Imagine a city where surveillance systems are not only protecting people but also helping create a cleaner, greener urban environment,” Amassyali says. That is the future TowerPatrol is working toward with its current projects.

Applying Endurance to Business Innovation

Amassyali does not just run companies; he runs marathons. “As an endurance athlete, I have learned that success comes from relentless forward motion, pushing through discomfort to reach the finish line,” he says. That same mindset fuels how he is building TowerPatrol and challenging an industry that has changed little in decades. Running marathons taught him a valuable lesson about persistence. “Every marathon is roughly 53,000 steps. Building TowerPatrol has been no different,” Amassyali explains. Both require constant forward progress, even when the work becomes difficult. He is confident in what his company can achieve. “If I can run seven marathons on all the continents in seven days, we can certainly secure a parking lot without burning fossil fuels.”

For Amassyali, green technology is more than an environmental nicety. “Green tech in security is not just about saving the planet. It is about creating smarter, safer, and more efficient solutions for businesses and communities,” he says. Companies that adopt this mindset early will gain a real advantage over competitors who wait. TowerPatrol is proving that long-held assumptions about security no longer have to be true. “Innovation and sustainability can be the ultimate competitive advantage,” Amassyali says. His question to potential clients is straightforward: “Is your security strategy ready for the future?” He encourages organizations to evaluate how their current security protocols align with their CO2 emission goals and identify where improvements are possible.
